A little bit about me.

I didn’t take the traditional path into marketing. There was no communications degree, no agency internship, no carefully planned career pivot. There was just twenty-odd years of figuring out how things work, and eventually realizing that skill translated into something valuable in the digital world.

My Story

I spent the first decade of my career running my own assembly contracting business, managing national retail contracts for companies like Walmart and Canadian Tire. After that I moved into the door, dock, and gate industry — managing service operations, leading technicians, writing a 96-page technical manual, and designing custom electrical control circuits for high-security commercial installations.

It sounds like an unusual background for a marketing consultant. But here’s what those years taught me: systems either work or they don’t. Processes either produce results or they waste resources. And when something isn’t performing, there’s always a reason — you just have to be willing to dig until you find it.

Around 2020 I started applying that same diagnostic mindset to digital marketing. I dove into SEO, content strategy, and web development — earned my Honours Certificate in Web Development from Sheridan College, then went deep on the marketing side with certifications from Google, LinkedIn, and eventually dual professional designations through the American Marketing Association and the Digital Marketing Institute.

I built Farm 6 Media to put all of it to work for small and mid-sized B2B service businesses — the kind of companies that do real work, operate on real margins, and don’t have time for marketing that doesn’t produce anything.

Beyond the work

I’m based in Hamilton, Ontario, a city I think is genuinely underrated. When I’m not building websites or digging into marketing data, I’m probably learning something new. I have a hard time sitting still when there’s an interesting problem to solve, which is either my greatest professional asset or my biggest personal challenge depending on who you ask.

I built Farm 6 Media, f6mhosting.ca, and a handful of other digital properties because I genuinely enjoy the craft of building things online, and because I believe small businesses deserve the same quality of strategic thinking that big companies pay agencies millions for.

How I think about this work

I look at marketing the same way I used to look at a mechanical system or an electrical circuit: either the logic works and it produces a result, or something in the system is broken. My job is to find the break, fix it, and make sure it’s measurable.
That means I’m not going to show up with a generic strategy deck or recommend more activity for activity’s sake. I’m going to ask uncomfortable questions, dig into your numbers, and tell you honestly what I think needs to change, and why.
